Tuscaloosa Tree Commission to Host Annual Tree Giveaway

The City of Tuscaloosa Tree Commission, along with the Alabama Power Service Organization and the Druid City Canopy Coalition, will distribute more than 3,800 bare root tree seedlings in its annual tree giveaway.

The giveaway will take place at the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum, located on the corner of Queen City Avenue and Jack Warner Parkway, Saturday, Feb. 20 beginning at 8 a.m.

The seedlings consist of several different varieties, including Red Maple, Crepe Myrtle, Dogwood, Live Oak, White Oak, Saw Tooth Oak, Redbud, Bald Cypress, Nuttall Oak and Overcup Oak.
