The 2016 Festival is scheduled to feature new exhibitors and samples from Side By Side Restaurant, Nothing But Noodles, R. Davidson Chop House, Black Warrior Brewery and Band of Brothers Brewery. Returning restaurants for this year’s event include Avenue Pub, Southern Ale House, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, The Levee, Cypress Inn, DePalma’s, Evangelines, Kozy’s and more. Loosa Brews and Druid City Brewing will also be returning to offer beer tastings.
Craig Williams, owner of Avenue Pub – a 2015 newcomer to the Festival – said the event offered a great opportunity to gain exposure within the community.
“We felt honored to share the floor with some great local restaurants,” Williams said. “We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Festival.”
Wine tastings will be provided by a variety of Alabama distributors, including Pinnacle Wines, International Wines, United-Johnson Brothers and Alabama Crown.
Last year’s festival, which brought out over 200 guests and 20 vendors, raised over $10,000 for the West Alabama Red Cross Chapter.
“Each year we have seen the festival grow,” said Festival Event Coordinator Shannon Corbell. “The restaurants and wine vendors out-do themselves every year. We’ve seen everything from seared sea scallops on parmesan crisps to chocolate covered bacon, and wine from California to France.”
