It’s that time: Tannehill’s tremendously popular Halloween Festival is happening on Saturday, Oct. 31. If you’ve never been, it’s an outstanding event.

This (non-scary) Halloween Festival is fun-filled and focused on the Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park campgrounds, which are extensively decorated with lights, giving the area a creative, surreal vibe.

Each year, the Tannehill Halloween Festival attracts over 6000 visitors, most of them children. This event has been happening at Tannehill each Halloween since 1992.

What can visitors expect? Plenty of great park-sponsored programs during the afternoon, and traditional Halloween candy trick or treat stops at more than 200 camp sites in the evening hours.

Additional park events include moonwalks, face painting, balloon animals, a bungee jump and train rides (for a small additional charge).
