Children’s Hands-On Museum’s Tenth annual Duck Derby is Saturday

Tuscaloosa’s Children’s Hands-On Museum is hosting the tenth annual Duck Derby on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Government Plaza in downtown Tuscaloosa. This fundraising event, which features 3000 rubber ducks, is without question one of the best family-friendly events around. It’s a ton of fun to watch, too.


This year’s Duck Derby features a whole new lineup of games and activities for all ages. This year everything is new – a new location, a new duck draw and new prizes.

Duckland carnival games are planned, along with music, dancing, field games, duck draw prizes, inflatables, a dunking booth, slip and slides and face painting. In addition, several food trucks are participating, and refreshments will be available.

Numbered duck tickets include admission with a chance to win prizes. General admission, armbands and extra carnival game tickets will also be available at the gate. All proceeds go to support programs for children at CHOM.
