It was a big day for the Raymond James Team at the 26th Annual Nucor Adopt-A-School Golf Tournament, as the team was the overall tourney winner, and team member Elliott Jones hit a hole-in-one. The team won $500 for their adopted school, Faucett Vestavia Elementary.

The Adopt-A-School program welcomed noted child advocate Elizabeth “Liz” Huntley as keynote speaker during its annual kickoff event, held August 4th at the University Church of Christ.

Osie Pickens doesn’t mince words when discussing the $7 million investment in the Hale County College and Career Academy in Greensboro. The Hale County Board of Education Superintendent knows the facility will provide students with opportunities never available in the area before.

Liz Huntley, author and child advocate, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s Adopt-A-School Kick-Off Seminar and Lunch, scheduled for August 4 at University Church of Christ.

Elizabeth “Liz” Huntley is a committed child advocate and a passionate litigation attorney. She practices law at Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC in Birmingham.
