“We are very excited about this event,” said Soroptimist International of Tuscaloosa member Kacie Obradovich. “It is no secret, but very few women realize that heart disease is their number one threat. The Red Shoe Affair is a way to spread this important message.”
Cocktail attire, including red shoes, is encouraged. Music for the event will be by Pure & Simple, and food is courtesy of Southern Ale House.
The funds from this event will help provide cardiac rehabilitation to women recovering from heart events. On its website, the organization says that this rehabilitation “is a valuable tool but is severely underutilized because it is not covered by insurance. It is our goal to provide 50 women in our community with this valuable educational tool.”
Tickets for The Red Shoe Affair are $60, or $100 per couple.
